Ingredients:
- 16 – 17 ounce beef steak
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- ¼ carrot
- Watercress for garnish
- 3 green beans
- 1 bulb of garlic
- Red wine* (If available)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Take the steak out from the refrigerator 30 minutes before grilling to bring it to room temperature.
- Salt and pepper the beef thoroughly.
- Heat Mahou™ F until a light smoke comes out.
- Turn off the heat, add olive oil, and spread it across the surface of the pan.
- Turn the burner on at low heat, and add garlic to draw out the aroma.
- Set the heat to medium-high and put the steak in the pan.
- Add 1 sprig of rosemary for aroma.
- The first side you cook will have a nice brown sear. Serve the steak with this side up.
- Once you add the steak, don’t move it around or flip it. The first side is done when half the thickness of the meat has changed color.
- Turn over the steak and cook the other side.
- When nicely browned, it is done.
- Arrange the steak on a plate and garnish with green beans and watercress.
- If red wine is available, make sauce* and pour it over the steak.
* How to make sauce with red wine
After removing the meat from Mahou™ F, add red wine to the pan over high heat to release the alcohol. Season with salt and pepper, and it will be delicious sauce to go with the steak.
